The Hondao Senior Citizen’s Welfare Foundation founded the BULAO 125 Team, which means "forever young", and converted the Japanese style wooden building into an eatery. The BULAO 125 Team emphasizes the participation of elders in cultural and creative developments. The team transformed the building into a space for senior citizens and young people to work together, rewriting a new story for the Residence of Miyahara Takekuma.
